Searchdaimon is a leading provider of enterprise search solutions, that aims to transforming the way small and medium size businesses retrieves knowledge and information. Our cornerstone product, the Searchdaimon Enterprise Search (ES), is one of the best solution for conducting search and getting information from inside your business. With our technology, no corporate information is more than a second away.
The ES software is open source and available for free under the GPL V2 license. Searchdaimon also offer a paid version that comes with full support and other professional services related to enterprise search.
Searchdaimon AS was founded in 2005 by Runar Buvik and Magnus Galåen together with Oslo Innovation Center AS and ICT Group AS. Research into the area started already in 1998. Most of the research has been conducted at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The Trondheim area is widely known for its knowledge within the field, and companies like FAST (Microsoft) and Yahoo! are also located in the area.
The company is currently held by Kistefos (private equity) and Oslo Innovation center, through Springfondet, and IP Group and the founders.
